I'm basically updating so that I can type in the album title of the album I'm listening to...

Today turned out to be the last day of the Ryukoku Translation Center meetings for the summer! Yay! Now my Friday's end sooner! Actually, it hasn't been that bad. We're reviewing the Hasshu koyo, or in other words, the Essentials of the Eight Traditions, an overview of the eight major sects of Japanese Buddhism written during the Kamakura period (roughly 1185-1333, and I had to look that up in my Nelson's Kanji Dictionary...) They always have coffee and snacks for the participants, and lately they've had this incredible snack - I don't know what it's called (keep forgetting to ask!) but it reminds me of some kind of cereal from my childhood! I kind of don't want to find out what it is, because then I'll go buy it myself and eat it all the time and get fatter than I already am...
